In the context of private security, the goal is to understand and/or update knowledge of legislation, resources, processes, systems, and security measures in order to enhance the professional performance of those attending the course.

Decree 304/2021, of December 17, amended Decree 148/2014, of July 18. These amendments include a refresher course for the training of Security Directors with a minimum duration of 60 hours, based on the subjects foreseen in points a), d), e), i), k), n) and o) of paragraph 4 of article 22 of that Decree.
The Autonomous University of Lisbon, which has been offering a Postgraduate Degree in Security Management and Leadership since 2012, establishing itself as a benchmark in the training of Security Directors and other private security managers, with over 20 editions and 700 students, could not fail to also offer an equally excellent refresher course, both in terms of its program and the specialists who teach it.
For the convenience and safety of the students, classes are taught in person, but remotely through the ZOOM system.
This course is primarily aimed at all Security Directors who need to renew their professional license and, in general, anyone wishing to learn or update their knowledge in this field. The course also allows those who wish to pursue a Postgraduate Degree in Security Management to begin a significant portion of this postgraduate program.
