The 5th edition of the Postgraduate Program inCultural and Educational Promotion and Activation of Archives and Libraries aims to develop research and various activities related to the cultural and educational promotion and activation of archives and libraries, with a view to fostering an in-depth understanding of this field.
This postgraduate program is presented as a transdisciplinary course, seeking to encompass the diverse cross-cutting realities related to its subject matter and target audience. It emphasizes the implementation and development of the extraordinary potential these information services possess in the realm of cultural and educational promotion and activation, equipping their professionals—as well as those aspiring to work in these facilities—with fundamental knowledge essential for their practice, pursuing best practices and excellence.
The curriculum is organized to integrate theoretical, methodological, and practical components. The content of the various course units reflects an integrated approach that prioritizes participation in collective discussion processes and the acquisition of transdisciplinary perspectives, culminating in the presentation and discussion of original research projects.

The course is conducted fully online, with lectures and participation carried out remotely.

The Postgraduate degree in the Cultural and Educational Promotion and Activation of Archives and Libraries aims, as its general objective, to train students from various fields of science, arts, and humanities in the theoretical, methodological, and practical dimensions of the course content. This includes topics such as the history of archives and libraries, the profile and competencies of information professionals, and areas related to administration, services and products, marketing, promotion and activation, funding and sponsorship, programs, platforms and technological media, social media management, and the evaluation of cultural and educational promotion and activation.

All interested individuals currently working or aiming to develop roles in archives, libraries, documentation centers, information and interpretation services, museums, and archaeological sites—whether in Central or Local Public Administration, the business sector, or the non-profit sector—within the context of cultural and educational promotion and activation.

(a) Qualifications obtained at the Autonomous University do not require authentication. In the case of qualifications obtained abroad, in addition to the authentication of the copy(ies) described above, authentication by the Portuguese Embassy or Consulate in the country of origin of the academic qualification or by the Apostille of the Hague Convention is required. If the documents are not in Portuguese, translation of the documents by a translator recognized by the Portuguese diplomatic representation will be required.

Registration will only be validated upon payment of the fee and delivery (within a maximum of 30 days) of all requested documentation.

Failure to submit the aforementioned documents invalidates the registration and prevents attendance at the course.
