The 4th edition of the Postgraduate Course in Architectural Archives is presented as a transdisciplinary course, seeking to encompass the different realities that are transversal to its object of study and target audience. To this end, it focuses on the implementation and development of its technical treatment, since architectural documents, in addition to being fundamental for the protection and guarantee of the rights of citizens and institutions, are indispensable for knowledge, the safeguarding of cultural heritage and the construction of collective memory, providing its professionals, and all those who are not professionals seeking to work in these facilities, with indispensable knowledge for their practice, in the pursuit of good practices and excellence.
The course is conducted fully online, with lectures and participation carried out remotely.
The Postgraduate Course in Architectural Archives has as its general objective the training and updating of students and professionals from various areas of science, arts and letters, within the scope of architectural archives in Portugal and Brazil, namely in its theoretical, methodological and practical dimensions, with emphasis on document nomenclature and typologies; stages, graphic expression techniques and phases of representation of the architectural project; documentation in the current phase; classification, evaluation and conservation of collections, and access to and cultural and educational dissemination of architectural archives.
All interested parties who aim to develop functions within the scope of architectural documents, namely private and public works processes, and personal archives of architects, or who, already working with them, do not have professional training in this area or need to update their knowledge.
This profile includes professionals in the areas of information, heritage and culture, architects, teachers, students and researchers in the area and related areas, among others, who work in archives, libraries, museums and documentation, information and interpretation centres, in the Public Administration (Central and Local), in the business and associative sector, and all those who wish to expand their knowledge and pursue academic studies in the area.

(a) Qualifications obtained at the Autonomous University do not require authentication. In the case of qualifications obtained abroad, in addition to the authentication of the copy(ies) described above, authentication by the Portuguese Embassy or Consulate in the country of origin of the academic qualification or by the Apostille of the Hague Convention is required. If the documents are not in Portuguese, translation of the documents by a translator recognized by the Portuguese diplomatic representation will be required.
Registration will only be validated upon payment of the fee and delivery (within a maximum of 30 days) of all requested documentation.
Failure to submit the aforementioned documents invalidates the registration and prevents attendance at the course.
