Is an executive and academic with over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, and organizational management. He has held leadership roles in higher education, public administration, and business, fostering entrepreneurship ecosystems, regional development, and educational innovation. His expertise includes academic management, digital transformation, public-private collaboration, and executive training.
He holds a PhD in Business Activity Management (Cum Laude, University of Cantabria, Spain), an MBA in Strategy and Management (EGADE – Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico), and a BSc in Industrial and Systems Engineering (Tecnológico de Monterrey).
Dr. De la Fuente served as Regional Director of Entrepreneurship at Tecnológico de Monterrey, promoting academic-industry collaboration and international learning initiatives, and as Campus President at Universidad Tecmilenio (Hermosillo, Culiacán–Los Mochis, Puebla), leading academic, administrative, and outreach operations. He also directed the Innovation and Development Park in Veracruz, securing major funding for technology and entrepreneurship projects, and has managed business incubation and SME development programs.
